Itinerary:  Beijing/Kuala Lumpur/Kota Kinabalu/Manukan Island/Sandakan/Kota Kinabalu/Kuala Lumpur/Beijing
Duration:  11 Days / 10 Nights
Malaysia is really like two countries in one, divided in half by the South China Sea. The peninsula is a multicultural buffet of Malay, Chinese and Indian flavors while Borneo hosts a wild jungle smorgasbord of orangutans, granite peaks and remote tribes. Within and throughout these two very different regions are an impressive variety of microcosms ranging from the space-age high-rises of Kuala Lumpur to the smiling longhouse villages of Sarawak. You will also find and the calm, powdery beaches of the Perhentian Islands. And did we mention the food? Malaysia (particularly along the west coast) has one of the best assortments of delicious cuisines in the world. Despite all the pockets of ethnicities, religions, landscapes and the sometimes-great distances between them, the beauty of Malaysia lies in the fusion of it all, into a country that is one of the safest, most stable and easiest to manage in Southeast Asia.

 Know Before You Go

Generally, all year round is good to visit and travel to Sabah. But summer is better than winter since wet season in Sabah typically runs from October to March, with the dryer season in April to September although the occasional rain is to be expected.
For the snorkeling and scuba diving program (west coast of Sabah) are not really effected by the monsoon, there are a few geographical reasons for this but the structure of the islands where we do snorkeling and scuba diving and the crocker range of mountains mean that we operate all year round with beautiful sunshine and some rain. If its dangerous then only we will cancel the trip but we will let you know. If we do cancel, you have an option to re-schedule but if you don't have any day available then we will refund the payment but usually we enjoy sunshine in the morning and shower rain in the late afternoon. If its rains then we have shelter at our Dive Center on Gaya Island and when it does rain it tends to be quick downpours but majority of the time its beautiful tropical sunshine.
While for the trip to Selingan Turtle Island which is in Sandakan (east coast of Sabah), kindly be advised that should the clients decide to visit on January as planned that there may be a chance that the boat may not be able to cross over to Selingan Island due to the rough conditions of the Sulu Sea which may happen from December to February. However please be advised that not being able to cross over to Selingan is an extremely rare situation, in-fact it has happened only 2 times to our guests in 6 years !
Selingan Turtle Island will not be closed during this period and are still open for booking so fingers crossed for good weather and permitting sea conditions in winter.
For the Wildlife and jungle experience (also takes place in Sandakan), i think that the Wildlife here in Sabah is used to the rain since the whole Borneo is Rainforest territory plus rains also livens up to the jungle as it energizes the forest critters and makes the green of Borneo all that much greener so we're sure that travelers will still see some.
